Joe: Class of 2015

Meet Joe! He’s handsome, easy going and kind. He’s a wrestler, and has plans for college after this year. I was honored to get to take his senior photos!

Have a great Senior year, Joe!!!!2014-10-20_0001

Hannah and Graham {Sellwood Park, Portland}

I had such a fun session with Hannah and Graham! They are beautiful children, silly and lively, just the type I love to photograph. Graham fixed his own mohawk the morning of our shoot, and his mom, figuring it was best to capture the children as they are, rolled with it. I’m so glad she did! His hair was absolutely the cutest, and matched the wildness of his personality. Perfect.

And, Hannah, the well mannered older sister, so lovely and graceful, with her Mommy’s blue eyes and blonde hair. She and her brother were more than happy to hug and snuggle, mostly without being asked!

Thank you, Hannah and Graham, Laura and Travis, for being such wonderful subjects! I thoroughly enjoyed our morning together!

Katie & Chris {Columbia Gorge Discover Center Wedding}

There is just no way I can fully express how beautiful Chris and Katie’s day was. In fact, I don’t normally photograph weddings, but I felt a connection to Katie immediately,  and she described her special day in such a way that I just had to be a part of it. I have familiarity with the Dalles, Oregon, because my best friend is from there (and used to baby-sit the bride… Crazy coincidence!), so I knew the setting would be be breath taking.

Succulents. Dahlias. Rustic wood. Burlap.  The details were amazing. By far the loveliest aspect of the day, besides the bride herself, was the community around this couple. From the Bride’s hilariously irreverent bridesmaids, to the Groom’s band of brothers, to parents and step-parents, aunts and uncles, there is so much love surrounding these two.

Three of my most favorite moments:

As the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife, a bird flew over their heads outside the window. What?!? It was so perfect!

During the Mother/Son dance, Chris’ mom called his step-mom out onto the floor to dance with them. It made me tear up so badly!

Right after the ceremony, the couple snuck away for a few minutes for some special photos in the beautiful scenery around the Museum. The light was perfect, and the joy was so palpable. It was the perfect time to photograph them.

I was really lucky to have Heidi from Heidi B. Photography shooting with me during key parts of the day. She captured so many beautiful details! Thank you Heidi, for working with me!

Chris and Katie, here’s to all the happiness ahead of you! Thank you for letting me document your special day. It was an honor and a pleasure.

Abby and Aiden

An evening with beautiful light. A new location that exceeded expectations. A family I always look forward to catching up with. Sessions like this remind me why I have the best job!
